Up until today the only fish poisoning that I knew of was the type that had to do with balloon fish. So I was surprised to find out that there is a fish poisoning called ciguatera. Interestingly, people who get ciguatera find that cold things feel hot and hot things feel cold. Can you imagine that?! No cure is available and you basically have to just pull yourself through the horrible symptoms if they're not deadly. I've been told that reef fish are usually the ones that carry the ciguatoxins.
