The Ascent of An iMac

Yeah, baby, yeah! The 24-incher as well! I got screen envy now.

Did you pick up an iPod at the same time? Usually the halo effect goes from getting an iPod to getting a Mac.

And please, tell me you either got the educational or federal discount.

Enjoy!

Nope, didn't pick up an iPod but I'm supposed to be getting one. Maybe a "durable anodized aluminum" nano or the 80GB iPod...
MSO supposedly got the educational discount. He can be so sweet. =)

Cool, but I have to remind you (unfortunately) that the "free" iPod educational promotion ended like last week. I think you could have gotten $150 back (good for the cheapest Nano) or apply the $150 for a bigger Pod.

The new Pods didn't qualify for that offer though...

The full screen iPod is still rumored for the end of this year or early next year but only rumors.

Depending on what you do, you may eventually get more than one iPod. The big ones are good for video and stuff where you need the capacity or showing your content on a TV or listening to music in your car. The smaller Nanos and Shuffles are good for working out and walking around Palm Circle where portability and lightweight are good.

Or you could be cutting edge and get a Zune and be unhappy.

MSO said 24-inchers didn't qualify for that promotion. He was confronted with choosing between a 24-incher without iPod or the 20-incher with iPod. After seeing how radiant it is, he made the right choice.

As usual, I didn't read the fine print.

It is a good choice. And I think he went with the typical guy instinct. 20 inches or 24 inches? 24 of course!!
