No Criminals in Professional Sports?

With news talk about Michael Vick and the dogfighting charges, for me, it once again prompted the thought of what professional sports would be like without criminals or those accused of crimes.

What if the professional sports world had a no tolerance policy for gross violations of law? Boy, that would eliminate some of the most marketable stars wouldn't it?

In Michael Vick's case, I say 'Kick Vick' too. Innocent until proven guilty, however, to even be involved with such preposterousness is irresponsible. And what's in that 'Personal Conduct Policy'? Vague or worded like a government-issued instructional document?

Bottom line. These professional athletes are role models, in the spotlight, and should be responsible and law-abiding. Yes, they are human too and there is a lot of pressure on a daily basis. But, that's part of the job and they are getting paid millions of dollars for doing what they love. Many should not forget where they came from and what they didn't have before their glory.

Some High School Basketball

Had read an article about Miah Ostrowski the other day and kinda interested to see how he plays. OC-16 is televising the Championship game at 2000. No 'Iolani this year huh?

No TV Star Status

Although I'm definitely not living the TV star life, I had the opportunity to sit pretty close to next to the stars at the Louisiana Tech game on Saturday thanks to Gee Why and his Pulpconnection connections.




View from our seats was clear with no atama obstructing the sights which somehow happens to me a lot (sarcasm).






One sight that I did note was that there were men sitting together (closely I might add),







although there were many empty seats nearby to give that one manly man seat spacing. Hmmm.







Having no problems with her seat is Minna Sugimoto. We thought about moving next to her. Too bad her canine son Joey couldn't be there.

Driving home safely was not to difficult that night but driving home quickly was. I probably don't know the best route to exit out of there so it took almost 1/2 hour to get home! But it was fun. Thank you Gee Why and The Greatest Legal Mind Ever (Sorry)!

Happy New Year!

As we make our way into another year, one thing we'll leave behind is a round of golf played before Christmas at Turtle Bay Resort. We played at the Arnold Palmer Course just as Wayne's World did back in April but most of us were not really as impressed with the course especially for the amount that kama`aina pay. Could it be a downward spiral of condition in just 8 months?


In any case there was a downward spiral in MSO's game partly due to both of his shoes breaking during play. At the end of the round both feet were in slippers and his head was lowered in defeat.





Both my sis and I reveled in victory while the sun set amongst the trees. Although I had a high score as usual, it was an overall somewhat great day of driving, and beating MSO can't hurt right? Sorry...





The path to a new year has arrived and I hope to have fun with family and friends, not dwell too much on the little things (including things that MSO does to rile me up), lose a bunch of weight that has become too comfortable residing on me, and other things to just try and enjoy life. Everyone take care and have a happy 2007!

CC Bowls!

Bet you never thought you'd see this name hanging under the crappy, grungy lights of LB? She apparently bowled a 711 series - a great feat. Now if you're still reading this and thinking that this is "The" Cindy, mole on her face Cindy, then I'll put your mind at ease by saying that it isn't. Someone actually has the same name in The Aloha State. But I want to also add that this woman does not look at all like "The" Cindy. 'Nuff said.
